Robert & Erin
We're Married!
The wedding went off without a hitch. Thanks to everyone who came to the ceremony and / or party. We were excited and are honored to have shared the occasion with everyone. A special thanks goes to all those who made it from out of town! We really appreciate you taking the time to travel from afar.
The honeymoon in Jamaica was awesome! Over the coming weeks, we hope to move this site forward and post information / stories about the honeymoon and maybe add some more info to the wedding side of things. So, check back here for updates on our lives, honeymoon, wedding, and everything else we get into.
Wedding Photos!!!
Ryan and Jason Hastings did an amazing job with our photos. You can see them and purchase them by going to our gallery. The fluffy dog's name is Cooper, if you didn't know already. They really hooked us up for this. So, please, buy some photos and tell all your friends about the brilliant photography. We'd love to see them shoot many, many more events.
Legacy Stuff: We're Getting Married!
Robert Brodrecht and Erin Poe are getting married on October 31st, 2008! We have a lot of planning to do, but here is the tentative agenda:
- A small ceremony for close friends and family early in the evening with a short reception following. Since there is limited room, this is by strict invite only. Please understand our situation and respect our limitations.
- A massive, informal bash at 8:30 PM for all of our friends to celebrate the union. We're still working out the details concerning parking and the rest. Invitations will be sent to appropriate addresses registered on the site, or given out in person to those we see on a regular basis. Just a note, it's a decent walk up the hill to the clearing where the party will be. So, be prepared!
Check back here for more info as we figure it out.
FAQ
- I didn't get invited! Why not?!
-
Actually, we haven't sent out invitations yet (as of September 15th, anyway). So, technically, we haven't formally invited anyone. We sent out Save The Date magnets to those who signed up early enough. Invites will be coming soon enough. We have a lot of printing, cutting, and stuffing to do first, though.
If you don't get invited to the ceremony, please understand that we have a limited amount of space that we are working with. It's nothing personal.
Besides, the after party (a.k.a. general reception) is what you really want to go to. Just admit it. All you have to do is put your name and address in the form on the right, and we'd be happy for you to join us.
- It's Halloween! Can I wear my costume?
-
You can wear it at the reception, but not to the ceremony. Only a few people will be at the ceremony, though. So, it probably won't affect you. If it does, you'll be able to dress up as soon as you want after the ceremony is over. We're definitely not out to ruin anyone's Halloween.
- What's the dress code for the ceremony?
-
Dress casually if you want. Street clothes are fine with us as long as it is in good taste. If you want to dress in formal attire, feel free. You can bring a change of clothes if you plan on sticking around for the after party.
- Is there anything I can do? I'd like to be involved.
-
If you want to donate your time, we can probably find something for you. As of now, we've got a couple build days planned for making tables and benches. If you want to help, let us know. Some people have offered to cook things for the reception. If that interests you, get in touch with us.
We're working on a photo gallery. Until then, you can see a little slide show. Don't forget to check out our wedding photo gallery! The fluffy dog's name is Cooper!
